Microneedling

Before a microneedling session, we have you in for a consultation where we will get to know you, as well as your skin’s health, concerns, and goals. Then we will review and prepare you for your treatment date.

On the day of treatment, we review expectations and then proceed with some treatment preparation. Treatment prep includes applying a topical numbing cream for optimal client comfort. Once treatment begins, the procedure takes approximately 45 minutes depending on the area or areas being treated. Clients leave with their skin feeling dry, tight, warm, and with an overall pink or red tone. Some clients may experience a mild peeling/flaking for a couple days post treatment. Clients can resume normal activities the next day.

There are restrictions with product application and certain activities (saunas, hot yoga, etc.) for about a week after. The result is more than worth it! This is an incredible treatment that has so many skin health benefits! Ideally, a series of treatments spaced six to eight weeks apart is recommended to achieve the maximum cosmetic result. To take your microneedling treatment to the next level and get an even better result, you may consider adding collagen induction therapy to your treatment. This is where plasma (rich in platelets) is injected into the skin. There are several things to consider when it comes to maintenance. You can start by using the home roller (see more information below). Topical Vitamin C products and applying SPF daily are also imperative. Consider your daily regimen and what you are doing currently to protect your collagen.

You should also consider having biannual or annual microneedling treatments. These are highly encouraged to maintain results and jumpstart the growth of even more new collagen.
