RBF refers to an upset, annoyed, or serious expression that a person has on their face as their default facial expression. If you have RBF, you may live with frustrating questions as others might frequently ask if you’re feeling annoyed or offended, even on days when you feel completely calm and are just resting your face. Some people may look calm and relaxed as their neutral facial expression while others may appear irritated even if they don’t actually feel that way.
People who have RBF may have facial features that are naturally angled down, making them appear more tired or depressed. Additionally, as we get older, a combination of gravity, genetics and other factors can cause our mouths to get pulled down, giving the appearance of a perpetual frown. As aging and weight loss cause a loss of volume, the skin creases in areas such as between the brows, making you look like you’re scowling.
